Staff Favourites:

John Johnson - I am looking forward to our Airshows! Especially our newest addition on Sunday 2nd June 2024 to the D-Day 80 Duxford Summer Air Show. My love for aeroplanes goes right back to my childhood when our Dad used to take us to Farnborough Airshow. The air displays are always exciting and spectacular, and seeing aircraft and other attractions close up on the ground make the day out even better!

Lauren Davies, Head of Business'Liverpool - A Musical History Tour' on Friday 6th September 2024, is an excursion I'm really looking forward to as I actually grew up in Liverpool and listened to stories of Grandad playing on stage at the Cavern and my Nan and her sister dancing to the Beatles at the Cavern. My childhood was filled with music from Scouse legends such as The Beatles, The Quarrymen and Echo & The Bunnymen. I also love visiting Penny Lane and the Strawberry Field attraction in Liverpool so I can't wait for this excursion!

Kyran Flynn, General Manager - For me, you can't beat a good show, especially on the West End but any show I am a fan of! I have been to see many shows, some more than once. I am most looking forward to ‘Guys & Dolls’ on Thursday 4th July 2024 at the Bridge Theatre in London. There is time to grab a bit to eat or explore and then enjoy a show! A proper feel good, get me up!

Nolween Sheppard, Own Products Manager - As the designer of the day trip program, I feel all of them are great days out and if I had the time I would go on all!! We are very lucky to have so many venues and attractions rich in history, such as National trust & English Heritage properties and other fascinating attractions only a short drive away. If I had to pick my favourite out of this brochure, I would have to go with a musical as I love going to the West End and proudly passed my passion on to my daughter! The theatres themselves are always stunning venues, full of heritage and as a French native ‘Les Misérables’ on Thursday 16th May 2024 would be my choice. Victor Hugo was a big part of my education growing up in France, and the musical is a great adaptation of his novel.

Barry Cobb, Tours Manager - I’m looking forward to our brand new ‘Severn Valley Railway’ excursion on Saturday 13th April 2024, it’s such a wonderful experience that holds a lot of memories for me, from my childhood being spent with my friends sat on a railway platform jotting down locomotive numbers to my 60th birthday when my wife & daughter treated me to a very memorable experience of driving a train with six carriages the full length of the line from Bridgenorth to Kidderminster – I don’t think the grin of the Cheshire Cat could have matched the smile on my face that day!

Nicole Smith, PA to the Directors & Office Manager - I eagerly anticipate the day trip to the Spinnaker Tower with High Tea in Portsmouth on Thursday 10th October 2024, for a delightful blend of adventure and indulgence. The prospect of ascending the iconic tower promises breathtaking panoramic views of the city and its surrounding coastal beauty, offering a unique perspective that I'm eager to capture. Additionally, the allure of High Tea, with its elegant assortment of savoury sandwiches, freshly baked scones, and delectable pastries, conjures images of refined enjoyment amidst a picturesque setting. I envision this experience as a perfect opportunity to savour both the cultural and culinary delights that Portsmouth has to offer, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and relaxation.

Robbie Lee, Operations Coordinator - I would highly recommend Barmouth on Sunday 25th August, to anyone that hasn’t been before. I went there last year and it was beautiful and will go again this summer. The drive there through Snowdonia provides excellent scenic views out of the coach windows, with the views getting more impressive when driving along the coast. Upon arrival, you can go straight to the sandy beaches and enjoy views of the Snowdonia National Park in the background. There are plenty of fish and chips shops and plenty of places to get ice cream too.

Liz Lee, Reservations Manager & SeeMore - I can't wait for Wicked at The Apollo Victoria Theatre in London on Wednesday 7th August! As a kid, I adored The Wizard of Oz, so this feels like a dream come true! Spending a day in London and catching such an incredible show is my ultimate idea of fun. And the best part? No stress about travel or planning—I'm ready to immerse myself in the magic!

Bethany Morgan, Marketing Manager - One of my favourite tours is the express to Blackpool on Tuesday 23rd July 2024, as it evokes wonderful childhood memories since I was born there. It's an ideal trip to enjoy with the family, especially with attractions like the Coral Island arcade and plenty of sweets to indulge in. There is something for everyone to do and with free time to explore at your pleasure there's no way better to spend a day!

Molly Inman, Marketing and Events ExecutiveChristmas at Kew Gardens & Blenheim Palace Tour on Friday 6th to Saturday 7th December 2024, stands out to me because Christmas is such a magical time and there's no better way to get in the festive spirit than touring these amazing places with Johnsons Coaches.

Sophie Parker, Assistant Marketing Manager & Eco-Officer - Personally I am looking forward to An 'Emmerdale' Weekend on Friday 26th to Sunday 28th July 2024. My Mother and I love to watch Emmerdale together and having a girls weekend away, We are looking forward to staying at a beautiful 4* hotel, the Cedar Court Hotel, Bradford with it's modern bedrooms, fitness suite and a bar it is a perfect base for the weekend. An Emmerdale Village Tour included along with a drink in the 'Woolpack' and time in Haworth, Halifax and Hebden Bridge. There's plenty to do and it's much cheaper to travel with Johnsons than it is to book it yourself!
