We are proud members of the Guild of British Coach Operators, which represents the UK’s top coach companies. Membership is only open to coach operators who can demonstrate the highest standards in their operations, and we have been members since 2003.


As a member of the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited (ABTOT), Johnsons (Henley) Limited has provided a bond to meet the requirements of the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992.

In the event of Johnsons (Henley) Limited’s insolvency, protection is provided for non-flight cruise packages commencing in and returning to the UK excluding pre-arranged travel to and from your destination.  Please note that packages booked outside the UK are only protected when purchased directly with Johnsons (Henley) Limited.

In the above circumstances, if you have not yet travelled you may claim a refund, or if you have already travelled, you may claim repatriation to the starting point of your non-flight cruise package.

Coach Marque Accredited

Johnsons are also Coach Marque accredited; the only universally recognised kite mark of quality in the UK coach industry.
Both the Guild and Coach Marque are concerned with all aspects of the business including health and safety, training standards, legal requirement and fleet maintenance. Plus, a biannual independent audit requires a 100% pass rate meaning that the business and fleet are performing at the highest levels in the industry.

Bonded Coach Holidays

For peace of mind, all our coach holidays are protected by our BCH Bond no: 1183.
BCH safeguards your money in the unlikely event that us as a tour operator ceases trading. You are guaranteed repayment of monies paid. It also ensures the completion of your holiday if it has already started.



The Air Holidays in this brochure are ATOL Protected. The ATOL holder for each individual air tour is listed on the relevant tour page within our brochure and Johnsons are acting as an agent for these Tour Operators. In the unlikely event of their insolvency,the CAA will ensure that you are not stranded abroad and will arrange to refund any money you have paid to us for an advanced booking. Your ATOL Financial Protection: When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you will receive the relevant Tour Operators ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things go wrong. The suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the Services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases, where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).

 If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed under the ATOL scheme.
