English Tourism Week

Date Added 22/03/2023

#EnglishTourismWeek23

English Tourism Week takes place between 17th March – 26th March, an annual celebration of the tourism industry, showcasing its economic importance to local economies and communities.

Each year debuts a different theme with this year’s showcasing ‘Celebrating amazing experiences and amazing people.’ The purpose behind this is to highlight the role played by the wonderful people working in the sector and how they ensure visitors have amazing experiences and add to the vibrancy of local communities.

The benefits of celebrating English Tourism week include providing an opportunity to engage with your local stakeholders such as local MPs to bring attention to tourism’s contribution in your area. As well as, increasing awareness amongst domestic and overseas visitors of the value and quality of the English tourism offer and encourage domestic travel.

At Johnsons, environmental and sustainable coach travel is at the heart of what we do. Click here to read more about the environmental benefits of coach travel.

Coach travel supports tourism in England as it provides transportation for passengers to get from one location to another, with the lowest impact on the environment. Not only does it provide a multitude of jobs, but coach travel is crucial for people’s mobility, social cohesion and reduces congestion.
