Wheelchair Accessible Coaches

Johnsons Coach Travel have invested £1.5 million on new vehicles for 2017 with seven new coaches will be joining our fleet this spring. The new coaches will include new 35 seat midi coaches; another large 63 seat coach to add to our growing triaxle coach; and two executive coaches with wheelchair facilities.

The two new 53 seat wheelchair accessible coaches will each be able to seat two wheelchairs each. In order to accommodate the wheelchairs, four seats will be removed from each coach for each of the two wheelchairs. This will provide space for one wheelchair and 49 passengers or two wheelchairs and 45 other passengers on either coach. These luxurious vehicles offer reclining half real leather executive seats, toilet (not wheelchair accessible), climate control air conditioning, fridge and the very best audio / visual equipment and USB charging points.

Our new wheelchair lift at the rear of the coach will ensure a safe and smooth boarding of the coach. Our fully trained drivers will operate the lift and ensure all wheelchairs are secure and the coach will be prepared with the correct amount of seats and wheelchair anchor points before the vehicle leaves the depot.

Please note the wheelchair accessible coaches are only available on our private hires and not on our programme of holidays and day excursions.
