Johnsons hand over their Bus Services this weekend

Further to the announcement below of 29^th April 2022, we like to confirm and remind all our bus service customers, that we will be handing over all our bus service routes, to Diamond Bus, this weekend, at 23.59hrs on Sunday evening 29^th May. This is sad news in many ways – we’ve operated bus services for 22 years and many routes enjoy the patronage of regular customers, who have got to know our drivers and are on first name terms.  We’ve worked hard over the years to provide good, reliable – and most importantly friendly services and we hand over to Diamond, as I say, in many ways with a heavy heart. 

However, Diamond Bus are experienced and long-established bus operators and we know that our bus customers will be in good hands from Monday morning 30^th May onwards. Indeed, many of our bus driving team have taken up employment with Diamond Bus, so customers will still see some familiar faces on many of the routes.  Customers are reminded that all school term time travel passes will be carried forward and will be valid for travel on Diamond services previously operated by Johnsons Excelbus until the end of this school year, Friday 22^nd July.

All Johnsons customers are reminded that our Holidays, Excursions, Great Breaks, Express Excursions and Coach Hire services are not included in, or are affected by the sale of our bus services operation.

Finally, thank you again, to all our bus service customers for your support over the years, your custom has been much appreciated.
