    Itinerary

    Monday

We make our way to Cambridgeshire with a lunch stop en-route to the Cambridge Belfry Hotel for our 4 nights stay. On arrival we
    have tea and coffee.

    Tuesday

This morning we are off to the famous University City of Cambridge. Included is a hop on, hop off bus ticket so you can explore Cambridge at your own pace.

    Wednesday

After a leisurely breakfast we travel south to visit the Roman City of St Albans. At the city's historic core, you will find
the stunning cathedral - dating back to 1077, well worth a visit, and the award-winning Verulamium Museum will give you an
eye-opening insight into Roman life. Today is market day in St Albans. The market dates back to the 9th century and runs the
length of St Peters Street and offers an excellent shopping experience complimenting the established High Street names.

    Thursday

The day out begins with a drive to Newmarket, Home of Horseracing. Here we visit the superb National Horseracing
Centre and learn all about the history of 'The Sport of Kings.' Leaving Newmarket we drive to the historic City of Ely, an ideal
destination for all interests and tastes, with a splendid array of medieval buildings and narrow streets. Ely's main attraction is
the magnificent cathedral, known as 'The Ship of the Fens.' The city takes its name from the abundance of eels in the
    surrounding marshlands.

    Friday

After breakfast, we make our journey home, with a lunch stop on the way back.
