Johnsons Zipwire Challenge!

23 brave souls from Johnsons Coach & Bus Travel took on Europe’s Longest, and the World’s fastest Zip wire on Saturday 8^th October and raised over £2,200 for the Shakespeare Hospice.

The 23 team members travelled to Bangor, Wales to Zipworld UK, where they flew down “Velocity”, the longest zip wire in Europe and the fastest in the world. Starting on the ‘Little Zipper’ to build confidence, then a nail-biting 3 mile journey up to the ‘Big Zipper’ where the teams plunged head first over the quarry lake at speeds in excess of 100mph.

John Johnson commented: “On arrival at Zip World, Bethesda, all of the team were raring to go! Descending head first down the mile long, 500ft high zip lines goes against all human instincts but the whole experience was breathtaking. It was a wonderful opportunity and we are so proud to be able to raise money for The Shakespeare Hospice.  Thank you to everyone who supported us.
