OVO Womens Tour - Service Disruption

Date Added 13/06/2019

Due to the OVO Energy Womens Tour bike race taking part across the region some roads will be closed during the event on Thursday 13th June 2019.

This will affect the 6, 7, 77, 77A, 82 & 87 services.  For the most part there will be no diversions in place, buses will be required to wait for road closures to be lifted.

Service 6: Edge Hill will be closed between approximately 1340 and 1415.  It is envisaged that this will not affect service, however the 1340 from Banbury Gateway may catch the tail end of the tour.  If so, the bus will need to wait until the roads are reopened.

Service 7:  Banbury Road through Pillerton Priors and Edge Hill will be closed between approximately 1325 and 1415.   This will affect the 1215 from Banbury Gateway.  Buses should be able to access normal route until Oxhill.   The bus will then need to turn left onto Banbury road to clear this area prior to road closures and wait time in Ettington.  This service WILL NOT serve Kineton.

Service 77: The tour should not affect this service, however be aware that the roundabout on B4100/B4455 Fosse Way will be closed between approximately 1250 and 1320.  If buses are not clear of this point at that time they will need to wait until the road is reopened.

Service 77A: Access to Avon Dassett will be closed all day.   The 0647 service from Avon Dassett will need to start from Fenny Compton, as will the 0948 from Farnborough.  The B4100 near Temple Herdewyke will be closed between approximately 1410 and 1515.  The 1310 service from Leamington will need to terminate service at Temple Herdewyke and wait until 1429 to resume service towards Leamington.   The 1525 service from Trinity School and 1715 from Warwickshire College should be able to access Northend & Fenny Compton where it will terminate.

Service 82: Main Road in Meriden will be closed between approximately 1100 and 1120.  The 1055 services from Coventry & Solihull will need to wait for road closures to be lifted.

Service 87: Westwood Heath Road will be closed between approximately 1045 and 1105.  The 1020 service from Solihull will need to wait for the road to be reopened.   The 1032 from Coventry will also need to wait for the road closure to open.  This service may need to miss out Fen End depending on length of delay.
