Improvements to Bus Services

Following discussion with local councils and journey analysis, Johnsons Excelbus is pleased to announce improvements to some services from Monday 3rd June 2019, these changes are outlined below.

Service 1  -  Stratford upon Avon - Chipping Campden - Moreton in Marsh:  The 1540 school days only service from Chipping Campden School to Stratford upon Avon will be rerouted to serve Shipston Road towards Stratford upon Avon, providing better homeward links for students.

Service 2 - Stratford upon Avon – Chipping Campden – Moreton in Marsh:  The 1535 service from Stratford upon Avon will commence from Stratford High School at 1525 on school days and will operate from Stratford upon Avon via Trinity Mead to replace the rerouted 6S service.

Service 6 - Stratford upon Avon – Kineton – Banbury – Banbury Gateway:  Amended timetable and route. Most journeys will extend from Banbury Bus Station to the new Banbury Gateway Retail Park operating via Middleton Road and Ermont Way. Service will no longer operate via Shenington, Wroxton or Drayton (with the exception of services to/from Kineton High School) and will instead operate between Tysoe and Banbury via Shutford and North Newington. Additional Saturday and school holidays departure added from Banbury at 1610.

Service 6S - Stratford High School – Ettington:  Service will no longer operate via Trinity Mead. Students travelling to Trinity Mead can board service 2 which is being changed to start from Stratford High School.

Service 7 - Stratford upon Avon – Kineton – Banbury – Banbury Gateway: Amended timetable and route. Most journeys will extend from Banbury Bus Station to the new Banbury Gateway Retail Park operating via Middleton Road and Ermont Way. 1610 Saturday & school holiday departure from Banbury renumbered as service 6.

Service 77 - Leamington Spa - Gaydon - Kineton:  Additional morning buses will leave Leamington Spa, Upper Parade at 0600 and 0630 operating via Leamington Spa Parish Church, Tachbrook Road and then direct via B4100 to JLR Main Gate.    Additional evening service will depart British Motor Museum at 1630 and JLR Main Gate at 1632, operating direct via B4100 and Tachbrook Road to Leamington Spa.   These additional services are introduced to improve commuting links to JLR and Aston Martin.
