Itinerary
Wednesday |
We travel north to Heysham where we board the ferry for our sailing to Douglas. On arrival, we make our way to our seafront hotel, the Rutland Hotel, before settling in for the evening. |
Thursday |
Enjoy a relaxed day exploring the island’s charming capital. Take a stroll along the Victorian promenade, browse the local shops, or perhaps visit the Manx Museum. The day is yours to spend as you choose. |
Friday |
This morning we travel to the historic village of Laxey. Here we board the Snaefell Mountain Railway for a spectacular return journey to the summit of Snaefell, where panoramic views stretch across the Irish Sea. After returning to Laxey, we visit the iconic Laxey Wheel, the world’s largest working waterwheel. |
Saturday |
Today we head to Peel on the island’s west coast for a visit to the House of Manannan, one of the Isle of Man’s most engaging museums. Afterwards, enjoy free time to explore this lovely harbour town, perhaps visiting Peel Castle or sampling the local kippers, before returning to Douglas. |
Sunday |
We step back in time today with a single journey on the Isle of Man Steam Railway from Douglas to the picturesque resort of Port Erin. Entry to the Port Erin Railway Museum is included, where you can discover the island’s rich steam heritage. Enjoy free time in Port Erin before we return to our hotel. |
Monday |
After breakfast, we make our way to Douglas port to board the ferry back to Heysham. From here, we continue our journey home after an enjoyable break on the Isle of Man. |
