    Sunday

    A journey to the beautiful Bury
    St Edmunds, a historic market town.
    From here, it is a short drive to our
    hotel located in the enviable waterfront
    area of Ipswich.

    Monday

    Today we visit the charming
    north Suffolk seaside town of
    Southwold. Located on the Suffolk
    Heritage Coast it is often viewed as
    ‘the town that time forgot’!

    Tuesday

    Today we visit magnificent
    Helmingham Hall Gardens with its
    beautiful park, home to a herd of red
    deer. Later we continue to nearby
    Otley Hall and Gardens – a 15th
    century Tudor moated hall.

    Wednesday

    Visit to Sutton Hoo, the
    site of two early medieval cemeteries dating from the 6th & 7th centuries.
    You can explore the atmospheric Royal
    Burial Ground and marvel at the full-size Anglo-Saxon ship sculpture. Later,
    we continue to the small seaside town
    of Aldeburgh. Enjoy the miles of
    unspoilt shingle coastline and heath
    lands.

    Thursday

    Departing after breakfast,
    we visit Lavenham. Known as England’s
    best preserved medieval village.
    Departing after lunch, we commence
    our journey homeward.
