Introducing our NEW Summer 2019 Door to Door Holiday Programme...

Our NEW Summer 2019 holiday programme is out now and packed with over 230 Door to Door escorted holidays in Britain, Europe and Worldwide. We have over 50 NEW exciting tour departures, as well as our popular tried-and-tested itineraries. Johnsons’ Tours  Manager, Barry Cobb, expertly plans our holiday programmes, so we sat him down to hear what he is most excited about:

It’s always a very exciting time when we launch a new Summer brochure – My team and I spend many long hours developing new tours and itineraries, so there is always a degree of anticipation at brochure launch, as to how these will be received. The thrill never diminishes, and will be just as great in 2019.

We have increased the number of our Luxury Traveller departures to 26 including 6 NEW destinations, including such diverse locations as Eastbourne and the Scottish Highlands.

We have added more Relaxed Traveller holidays than ever before – with 34 departures to choose from in 2019. They include lunches on the way to and from the resort, a more gently pace of itinerary and are resort based – so a great choice for anyone with limited mobility. 

Our Active Traveller Holidays proved very popular last year and our range of tours now include the following themes – Birdwatching & Wildlife breaks, Gentle Walking Holidays, a fully escorted tour of the Great Gardens of Cornwall and a NEW special partnership with the RHS, with 4 departures, where ‘bookers’ will automatically receive ONE YEARS GIFT MEMBERSHIP of the RHS.

All areas of the UK are covered – Check out our ‘Destination Guide’ on Page 10 -  there won’t be many locations of Britain, where you won’t see the familiar sight of  a ‘Johnsons Coach’ in 2019.

One of my own personal favourite destinations is Scotland, and I am delighted with our new Scottish Programme – 16 Tours to all parts of this great country, including a first time visit to Shetland – The Island of the Vikings!

We have some fantastic Continental tours – personal favourites for me are – Versailles & the Candlelit Chateaux and the ever-popular Landscapes of the Dordogne.

However, the new  tours that do excite me are our NEW 8 Day ‘Royal Roots’ tour – which follows in the footsteps of Queen Victoria, as we celebrate the 200^th anniversary of her birth, and our NEW 10 Day ‘Great Austrian Bake Off’ tour to Salzburg & Vienna. For followers of Andre Rieu, check out our 8 Day tour to see the great man live in Zurich – But this is more than just an ‘In-Concert’ tour as we include a scenic train ride aboard the ‘Glacier Express’ too!

We have some great Air Tours to Tuscany, Dubrovnik and Madeira and a superb Danube River Cruise to the Black Sea that takes in such countries as Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Romania – Now there’s something you don’t come across every day!
