Service Changes / Updates
X20

From Sunday 2nd September, the X20 Service will be cancelled. From this date it will be replaced by the following:
20 service - operating MON-SAT between Stratford and Shirley.
Service 20 will operate hourly on Mondays to Saturdays with a similar timetable to the current X20 times between Shirley and Stratford. Passengers for Birmingham will need to change either in Shirley, at The Saracens Head, Stratford Road, onto NXWM service 6, or at Shirley Station onto local West Midlands Railway services.
X50 Service - operating on Sundays from Birmingham - Stratford - Chipping Norton. See timetable here.

SEE NEW 20 SERVICE TIMETABLE HERE.

1, 2, 3 & 3A

Timetable adjustments will be made. Please keep an eye out in the next two weeks for the new timetable.

6 & 7 Service New service from Stratford to Banbury. New timetable coming soon.
Service 50

Stratford-Chipping Norton replaced by Sunday service X50 now extending to Birmingham. See X50 Service timetable here.

With regards to our X20 service, please see below for further information as to why we have had to make these changes.

Unfortunately passenger numbers are too low for us to continue commercially operating a Monday to Saturday service into Birmingham City Centre and congestion along the Stratford Road is causing the service to have timetable reliability issues. The new service 20 is designed to improve reliability and maintain a regular service along this important link between Shirley and Stratford-on-Avon. Whilst we appreciate that this will be disappointing news to some customers, we are doing it with the best intentions for reliability purposes and to ensure the route can continue for the foreseeable future”.

Timetables are available to view online now and paper copies will be available from August. If you have any questions or queries, please contact the bus team at Johnsons Excelbus on 01564 797040 or email businfo@johnsonscoaches.co.uk .

Many thanks.
