Local Choir Gets On Board Again with Johnsons

Johnsons Coach Travel are delighted to sponsor the Alcester Male Voice Choir for a further twelve months in return for promotional opportunities at the various concerts that the choir hold.

The Alcester Male Voice Choir was founded back in 1974 by Judith Land, who had moved to the Midlands from the South Wales Valleys. As Head of Music at a local school, she formed the choir when young men between the ages of 15 & 18 years and some of their fathers asked if they could continue singing outside of the school activities, and so the choir was renamed. From that moment on, the choir has gone from strength to strength and today 40 years later the choir has over 80 men from all walks of life.

Judith Land, BEM, FRSA the choirs founder and Director of Music said "we are delighted that Johnsons have  agreed to support us once again. They are our coach operator of choice and we use them  for all our concerts where coach transport is required including our European tours. They understand our requirements and offer sound advice and also understand that we need reliable transport to get us to concerts in good time. They are a pleasure to work with"

The Alcester Male Voice Choir hold regular concerts throughout the area and beyond and over the years have raised many thousands of pounds for charities, churches and groups of all kinds.
