Introducing our Summer 2018 Holidays

Our NEW Summer 2018 holiday programme is out now and packed with over 200 Door to Door escorted holidays in Britain, Europe and Worldwide. We have 40 NEW exciting tours as well as our popular tried-and-tested itineraries. JOHNSONS’ Product Manager, Barry Cobb, expertly plans our holiday programmes, so we sat him down to hear what he is most excited about:

“Firstly, I am most excited about the new look and feel of the Summer 2018 brochure. Hopefully, clients will find the brochure easy to use, colourful, inspiring and full of content!

We have 24 Luxury Traveller holidays to choose from including 2 NEW destinations. One of these is a stay on the Isles of Scilly in The Star Castle Hotel, which boasts 16^th century castle accommodation, and breath-taking views.

We have added more Relaxed Traveller holidays than ever before, as these are very popular with our clients. They include lunches on the way to and from the resort, a more gently pace of itinerary and are resort based – so a great choice for anyone with mobility issues.

In contrast we have 6 NEW Active Traveller Holidays which include walking tours and bird and nature watching tours. These holidays are with expert guides who will really make the holiday special.

We are always working to offer more single rooms on all of our holidays, and now offer a minimum of 8 single rooms for each tour in our hotel allocations. In addition to this we have 8 Single Traveller holidays in UK and Ireland as well as 3 Single Traveller Air Tours to Spain, Sicily and Croatia.

I love our Scottish programme and in 2018 we have 11 holidays including 5 NEW destinations. The Scottish Borders (p62) tour has a ride on the newly opened Borders Railway from Edinburgh to Tweedbank; the Coast to Coast (p66) tour is a great way to see so much of Scotland from East to West in our two bases in Aberdeen and Inveraray; and our Hebrides tour (p66) has been revamped too to include more time on the Isle of Skye.

For our holidays in Europe, I have worked hard on speeding up the journey through Europe, so more time is spent in resort. This means we have more departures by air including holidays a two-centre in Hungary and a river cruise on the Danube. The tour to Avignon (p70) looks great, as clients spend time in London before boarding the Eurostar to travel speedily to Avignon, where a JOHNSONS coach meets the group. Our 12 day holiday in Poland (p76) also looks fantastic – we have two nights in Wroclaw before heading to Zakopane to see the Tatra Mountains.”
