Henley in Arden coach operator Johnsons, has been chosen by Rotary International to organise and run all the pre and post convention tours, together with day and half day excursions in June 2009, when the Rotary International Convention comes to Birmingham.

The convention is a major event, which is expected to attract in excess of 25,000 visitors from all over the world.  John Johnson, Director of Johnsons Coaches said “this is a tremendous coup for the city, but is also a coup for us being appointed to handle this prestigious work”.

We have put together a comprehensive programme which includes 8 holidays in the UK, Ireland and Europe.  In addition, there are 14 day and half day excursions which take in some of the best our region has to offer, including Blenheim Palace, Chatsworth, Ironbridge and the Black Country Museum.

We are delighted to have won this contract, it is good for us and of course good for the Midlands too.  With so many visitors coming from abroad including America, Japan and Korea, the brief was simply to put a programme together, that will give these visitors a taste of the UK and Europe and provide lasting memories of their visit to Birmingham.

A team from Johnsons has just returned from this years convention in Los Angeles, where they promoted next years tours.
